  • Surgery for blockage in epididymal: The surgery is the best option to treat the blocked epididymis. The epididymis is a coil which looks like structure in the testicles that helps in storing the sperm and transport. The sperm may not be properly ejaculated if the epididymis is blocked.

Infertility Treatments for women

The following are the Infertility Treatments for women:

  • Clomiphene: This is a medication which encourages ovulation in women who ovulate either irregularly or not at all, because of PCOS/ PCOD or another hormonal disorder. This medication allows the women pituitary gland to release more follicle-stimulating hormone (FSH) and luteinizing hormone (LH).
  • Metformin: If Clomiphene is unable to make the women ovulate then the metformin may help the women with PCOS/PCOD, especially when linked to insulin resistance.
  • Human chorionic gonadotropin: The Human chorionic gonadotropin is used together with clomiphene, and FSH, which stimulate the follicle to ovulate.
  • Follicle-stimulating hormone: This is a hormonal stimulation which is produced by the pituitary gland that controls estrogen production by the ovaries and it helps the ovaries to stimulate so that women produce more mature egg follicles.

Infertility Diagnosis

In many cases, the people visit the physician if there is no pregnancy occurred after 12 months of regular intercourse.

In case, the women age is over 35 years, the couple needs to visit the doctor earlier because the fertility testing takes time and according to study, the female fertility starts declining when she is in her 30s.

A doctor can give advice and carry out some preliminary assessments. It is advisable for the couple that they visit the doctor together as she might ask about the couple's sexual habits and accordingly make recommendations. Tests and trials are available; however, testing does not always reveal a specific cause.

What is Unexplained Infertility?

The Unexplained Infertility is an issue where the couple suffers from infertility but the diagnostic procedure also fails to find any reasonable cause of the condition. Unexplained Infertility is essentially a negative diagnosis which means that the clinic and fertility expert knows there is a problem but the cause remains unknown. Even with the number of fertility treatments, the Unexplained Infertility is very common and it affects 7 out of 10 couples.
